"Great Toy - Poor price" 2010-01-27
By Kadiebug (Colorado, USA)
I bought this toy at a used store for $8.50 and it currently retails at Wal-mart for $39, this price MUST be a typo!

The toy itself is wonderful and my 11 month old has enjoyed it! He would sit in front of it and play and now he likes to stand and lean on it for support while he plays. Great toy, lots of fun, but DO NOT pay more than $40!

"great toy, got it for $10 at WalMart" 2009-12-07
By AnthroMom (Nacogdoches, TX)
This is a great toy. Even the 3 1/2 year old still loves it. The 11 month old is enthralled. It's really difficult to find replacement balls, though, so don't lose the ones that come with it! SHop around. $300 is ridiculous. It's been around 4 years, and it's durable enough that a used one or an old one would work fine. They won't stop at balls. THey'll start putting blocks, toys, marshmallows.. you name it! into those little holes to figure out how they work. Even the cat gets into it!

"Seriously? $[...] they want for this thing?" 2009-11-21
By K. R. Blair (oregon)
Okay, I bought this last year for my then 1-year-old. At the time he wasn't walking and he would try to use it to pull up on. It always toppled over. And since he's become mobile, he'd rather climb on it than use it the way it is meant to be used. He doesn't bother with the balls and just pushes the buttons to make the lights and songs turn on. All that said, for $[...] or so, it's not a bad buy. But now they are asking $[...] for these. That's just absolutely ridiculous. Totally a rip-off. If you go on ebay or craigslist, you can find them for $[...]. And they are easy to find.

"Super toy. The price has to be a typo, no?" 2009-10-03
By Jenna Glatzer (NY, United States)
I bought this at a thrift shop for my daughter when she was about 18 months old. She adored it then, and even though she's really far too "advanced" for it now (2 1/2 years old), she still loves it.

This is a very well made, durable, colorful dinosaur with sound effects that won't drive you up a wall. The little "rawr!" is adorable. Like previous reviewers mentioned, balls do get stuck in one of the holes, but I never even noticed it until people mentioned it here-- it just didn't bug us. Maybe because my daughter was older when she began using it, she just fished the balls out herself, no big deal.

To me, it's as cute as it appears, and a solid purchase for either a boy or a girl.

"4 and 2 yr.old entertained, but NOT for this price!" 2009-08-10
By R. Musick (Los Angeles, CA)
My very busy son got this when he could only sit up and absolutely loved this toy. When he got older, this actually helped him stand, as he held onto the back side of the dinosaur (without the toy falling over!). It kept him entertained longer than any other toy he had(i.e. cars, blocks, sorters). Of course the balls sometimes got stuck in the middle hole, but that was because he shoved 3-5 balls consecutively at a time through the hole. Plus, he learned to maneuver the ball around the pendulum and get it out himself anyways.

At 2, I would catch him trying to walk along the stairside of the dinosaur, and this toy STILL held up. He would bend the creatures atop the dinosaur, and grab at the twirling butterfly, and it STILL held up amazingly well. Now at 4 years old, he was still entertained by it when I brought it out for his 1 y/o sister to play with.

But, BEWARE this price? Are you serious? Who is buying this and is this a typo? Go to your online BIDding source, and get one for [...]!!! Or check your online LISTing source. What a scam!
