I'm on Amazon to find a new baby monitor now that this one has worn out. After about 9 months one receiver quit charging and the other one followed 3 months later. We often left the receivers on AC for long periods (apparently improperly), but I think constantly plugging and unplugging would have made the next problem worse. When running on AC, both units soon needed the power cord to be wiggled to get power and eventually one could no longer get power from the cord at all, rendering it useless. After 16 months the other receiver is in the same situation. Sixteen months isn't terrible, but I don't feel ready to give up monitoring entirely and it irks me to have to buy a new monitor for babies that are almost old enough not to need it.
I don't have an issue with the static, it was always there, but never enough to keep me awake. The little spikes of interference weren't common or loud enough to bother me either. When it still worked, I was happy with it. Hope this helps you decide what to buy.

I've experience similar problems mentioned in other reviews. The monitors work well at first. After a few months, both monitors won't hold a charge so we had to plug them in from room to room. After 6 months, one monitor stopped working, and today, just over a year old, the second monitor died.

The battery stopped charging after 3 months or so. Now we have to constantly plug in the receiver. Sometimes, that doesn't even work. Really frustrating.

I've been through my fair share of monitors and this one is by far the best. It's still working perfectly 3 years later. No problems with it at all. It is so clear you can hear them breathing. I can walk to the back of our yard which is almost an acre long and still have perfect reception. I don't write many reviews but I had to for this one because I am just that happy with it!

We've only have used it for over a month now, but it works really well, it's very easy to use. Quality of the product is superior, there's no interference and the reach is great! I don't have to write long review to recommend this product, it's just a reliable product that any parent with babies needs.
