it makes lots of different noises, and when you put the frog in the slot it says im the frog. when you put the skunk in the slot it says im the skunk, so very educational as to teaching children. lots of fun!!

We bought this for my son's 1 year birthday, and he loved it since he first got it. He plays with it everyday, and he is now 18 months old. The way that the cars hook together and the way the tow truck pulls the other cars along is his favorite part. He got frustrated for about 3 days while trying to hook them together, but he quickly learned to do it himself, and he now tries to toy every car he has. The animals don't add that much for him, neither does the radio. He loves loading them up on the big car carrier, and the goofy things the truck says make him laugh. It is a great toy, you can play together, or it is fun enough for him to play by himself for quite awhile. Great bargain! My batteries have not worn out in 6 months.

My 12-month-old received this truck for her first birthday and she loves it. Lots of buttons and sounds and great characters to go along with the carrier. The best part is, my 7-year-old daughter loves it, too! A fun gift.

I bought this with my 18 month old Grandson in mind, and he loves it. He has a little trouble getting the top shelf of the car carrier on right but I'm sure he will get it eventually. My other Grandson's ages 3 and 4 also like it, so it's appropriate for a wide range of ages. Glad I bought it.

My two year old loves cars, and that's an understatement! So when I saw this last year, I thought it would be perfect for him. He likes it, but not nearly as much as I'd hoped. He didn't really play with it much until about 18 months, so I'd say 12 months may be a bit young, and it is still a little tricky. The blue platform on top where the cars go can be really tricky for a little kid to get seated properly as it has to fit in a slit to sit flat. He flips it over and has trouble not getting it stuck. The buttons on the side are a lot of fun and go over colors and numbers. The walkie talkie doesn't do anything, which was a little disappointing. The truck can tell if it's there or not and will wonder "where is the radio?" but the radio doesn't make any noise or contribute much. It's pretty impressive that the truck can figure out which car has rolled into the lower platform and which animal is driving. It will ask you to pick a certain animal (bird, frog, or skunk) to drive, which adds an extra teaching element. It does seem to go through batteries pretty quickly, so I do recommend that you turn it off when not in use. It is fun though, especially for a car-loving kid!
