 "Entertaining" 2009-09-11
By Sunshine Waters
I bought a used one of these and it was in perfect condition. My 3 month old loves to kick and she wasn't quite sure about it at first. A few weeks into it she loves it. The only thing is that she can not see the things light up unless when she is lying flat on her back. We put her boppy under her to lift her up a little so she can actually see what is going on. Besides that -it was a great purchase.

"Great for "sippy cup time"" 2009-08-29
By Kymberlee Thompson (Nashville TN)
My son loved this toy, especially as some one said for mornings when he woke and played for a bit. The only problem is he is a roller and in the night he would bump it and it would come on. We now have tied to the play yard and he lays on the boppy and kicks it while he learns to drink from the sippy cup. ( he is 8 months now) Definitely gotten our $ worth.

"Kick & Learn is fun, but it's not $140 worth of fun" 2009-05-28
By Jim K. (Atlanta, GA United States)
We got the Kick & Learn as part of a package deal from somebody we bought a used car seat from back in 2004. It was probably two or three years old when we go it and it has been kicked, dropped, slapped and slobbered on since then without failure. It was not a big hit in the crib, but it did give the kid something to look at and listen to.

We've had a second baby since then and he's using it now that he's out of the crib. It makes a good floor activity toy. I would not, however, pay $140 for a new one. If you want one, I would suggest Craigslist or ebay.

"Still fun after 2 years!" 2008-11-22
By Ainsley's Mommy (Ohio)
I purchased this toy for five dollars at a yard sale back in 2006 and it is still going strong! My daughter played with it almost daily in her crib as a baby and now at 2 1/2 she still likes to go into the nursery (now being prepared for her new baby brother) and play with it. We had a few other crib toys which were pretty much ignored in favor of this one. So overall it's a great toy, HOWEVER I would NOT pay the exhorbitant price currently being asked for this on here. It's great, but not worth more than maybe twenty-five bucks at the most!

 "Lots of Fun" 2010-02-26
By L. Goldstein
This potty chair was bit more expensive than I wanted to pay, but my daughter refused to sit on one of the small simple potty seats and was afraid of our toilet seat. We are almost completely potty trained and this potty chair is the reason why! It does talk and it can be loud, but if you child is past the step of "being shy to the potty", it's perfect. It has a sensor in it and if she sits on when the pee hits the potty, it says encouraging words like you've been on the potty. It tells her when the seat is up or down and tells her to find the toilet paper and flush it all away. She was really excited about it.

The only downside is that it can be considered play time if your child isn't quite ready for it.

I was on here today looking for a potty seat to put on our toilet with handles... I totally forgot or did not realize that I could put this seat on our big toilet. :)

It's another good product by Fisher Price.

"FUN WAY TO POTTY TRAIN!" 2009-07-25
By T. J. Millikan (Billings, MT)
This potty was so fun for my two little boys while they potty trained. It plays music and sings to them when they go #1/#2. It also plays music if they are sitting for a while. I found my boys sitting on it just to hear the music, which definitely made potty training easier and shorter for us.

"ok potty seat, wouldn't buy again" 2009-05-23
By C. Price (Fort Gratiot, MI)
I agree with other comments regarding "Noise" being distracting. My son is 5 years old and still loves to use this potty WITHOUT it turned on! My biggest complaint is it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep all the little nooks and crannies clean and at this point I am ready to throw it in the trash as it stinks!!! The urine gets trapped around all the sensor parts and there are so many crevices that it's impossible to clean them thoroughly every time one of my 2 kids uses the potty! Not a good investment and would definitely not buy it again. My recommendation to anyone looking for a potty seat, KEEP IT SIMPLE!

"Great toy to training tool!-It has a hidden off button!!!" 2009-03-24
By Anna L. Bradford (Arlington, Texas)
I did not buy this toilet based on the reveiws on this site. I came home one day and my husband had it set up and running. It was great because it made all the noises and had levers and things to open and turn. My daughter was a little over a year old and it also would talk to her and teach her words and noises associated with the potty. She had a great time playing with it in the bathroom getting accustomed to what a potty was and what it was for.

Then when she was a little older and it was time to potty train, we found, lo and behold! It has an off button hiding on the back of it! No need to take the batteries out or anything. Instant toy that she was comfortable with and used to playing with turned into a tool. We turned it off and left it off. She is now potty trained and uses it every day. She is not big enough to get up on the big toilet by herself yet, but we leave the bathroom light on and she gets up and goes and uses this potty whenever she needs to go on her own. Then she takes out the pot and dumps it in the big potty and flushes. It rocks!!!!

 "size does matter" 2008-11-20
By M. gungor
for me, this potty is working pretty well.

the biggest problem with this is that our big-girl toilet seat in our new apartment is too small for the top-part of the FP potty. since i can not use it for a seat for my daughter on the big-potty, that feature is flushed. most bathrooms are not large enough to house a second potty.

the next problem w/this potty is that the back of the potty stays with the "detachable" seat. on our other toilet, this obstructed the flushing portion of the toilet. it also would not easily detach from big-girl toilet. for this reason and also 1 and 2, you can only use this as a whole unit.

if you're ok with using potty on its own, this is a GREAT toilet ONLY if you don't mind the music (which is cute cute cute if you're using potty as a toy and not an actual training tool as it malfunctions and is not as accurate as they claim).

it is hard to clean all of the pieces inside of the toilet which can be affected by germs. the handles of the toilet are great, but mom's fingers cant get in there to clean, whereas toddler fingers could spread bacteria. (for my own paece-of-mind, i've taken the batteries out and just throw it in a bathtub full of bleach--it probably won't jingle now)

if you use this as a toy like i did from 6-12 months of age it is A GREAT TOY!!! @ 13 mos we started using as a potty and it works great since my daughter has very short legs. now she is 18 mos, the potty is too low to the ground and since she is still rather young, she has a hard time sitting down without help as the target can be tricky with your pants pulled down.

i'd give it a 5 star if it were simply a toy. as for practicality, i would only recommend for early-trainers or short legged kids and certainly only if your big-girl potty is large enough to hold the top part of the unit AND your kid doesn't touch themselves and risk spreading germs. knowing this, i'd probably still have bought it since she got plenty of use of it as a toy before we started training. but i'd definitely warn to read all reviews for your own decision of what would work.

"a WONDERFUL mobile for baies under 10 months" 2009-05-28
By Audrey AS (Boston, MA, USA and Paris, France)
My daughter has been enjoying this mobile for months. She is now 11m onths, and I had to take the mobile out of the bed because she kept trying to pull it (the mobile itself and not only the hanging puppies). The only minuses I have about this product is 1) the dim yellow light of te stars and moon on the wall (although at some point it is better than a bright light if you have a baby that needs darkness to sleep); and 2) it doesn't convert to a "music-only device", i.e. the upper part doesn't come out (or I have missed the point, and of course after 11months I don't have the user manual any more). So I am now looking for a music and light "mobile" that wouldn't have the upper/hanging part. However, it is difficult to find one that has the same sweet music (Mozart, Bethoven and I forgot the 3rd one) with the soft light that lights the bed that can be turned on if needed (for a few minutes).

But I love it, it is a great mobile from birth to about 11 months). I also had the tiny love mobile for my first baby, but this one is much better.

 "WAy to slow!" 2008-12-15
By Christopher Morris-page
This mobile creeps so slow its annoying and hard to keep baby attention, I also think their should be a setting so you can keep it going as long as you want, when it stops before baby is totally passed out and you have to restart it makes sleep time longer!

"Very cute... but please make it shut up!" 2008-11-15
By oatmeal
The little plush animals are much cuter in person than they are in pictures. Once you see it in motion, it's really nice. I particularly like that the stars move at a different speed than the other characters.

But the tinny, unpleasant music that comes out of it! Please make it stop!

If you want it to move, you have to put up with the music. If you want the lights projected onto the ceiling, you have to put up with the music. If you want the music... well, that's your business.

Why couldn't there have been settings for "Motion, no music?" "Lights, no music?" and "Lights and motion, no music?" I gave it four stars, but it was a wrench because they didn't at least include a mute button.

When the time comes to introduce baby to Bach, Beethoven and Mozart, I'll put on a CD and introduce her to good quality sound too. When the time comes to introdu... no, come to think of it the time will never come to introduce her to that other song.

I may just have to dissect it and clip the speaker wire.

"WONDERFUL ADDITION TO THE NURSERY" 2008-09-20
By Stacy L Messer
My mother bought this mobile for her grandson. He is only 10 weeks old and he simply loves it. He wasn't interested in too many other toys, but he will lay and stare at this mobile for a long time. He goes to sleep with it every night. I also turn it on while I'm in the room changing him and it distracts from the cold baby wipes. The different songs are wonderful, and the mobile mechanics aren't loud at all. (I heard that in some mobiles you can't hear the music over the turning of the mobile). The stars are only one color, but they show up nicely right above his crib. The room does have to be really dark.

The only problem I've had is sometimes the remote will turn the mobile on or off and sometimes it won't. Haven't quite figured it out. Also, it's too bad that the remote doesn't turn on the night light. By the time I creep over to his crib and turn it on, I sometimes wake him up.

 "Okay" 2008-12-29
By R. Cruz
This is an okay toy. We have it in our babies crib. She ignores it most of the time, although, I do hear it sometimes in the middle of the night. The first time I heard, "Woof, woof" and then music in the middle of the night it really freaked me out! But for the most part, she prefers her ocean wonders aquarium. It is a good product tough, durable, and nice quality.

"Annoying voice, but great toy" 2008-09-22
By J. Garrett (Idaho)
My son LOVES this toy! The voice is very annoying, but it keeps him entertained. He is still too young to recognize the colors and textures, which is why I only rated it a 4. He loves the magnetism, because he can make the cookies stick together or he can stick the cookies on the fridge. This toy is worth its money. We've had it 10 months now, on the same batteries, and nothing has worn down.

"Another Fisher Price Home Run!" 2008-07-04
By Nicole Leishman (IL USA)
This toy is So cute! The colors are bright and the size and shape of the whole toy and the individual cookie pieces are just he right size for a babies hand. We got this when the baby was a couple months old and he palyed with it right from the start. Of course, he didn't play with it correctly right away, he chewed on and threw the pieces, but at about 10 months he really started getting into it. It's the perfect introduction to puzzles, which we have had great success with around our house, and sure enough, this one is no exception. It teaches shapes, colors, textures and has cute songs. I would recommend this for a cute gift or if you are looking for an easy introductory puzzle toy.

By Caryn Ashton (Tenn)
I got this toy for my daughter's first Christmas even though she was too young I thought it was adorable and couldn't resist! She has been loving it and working the puzzle since she was 8-9 months old! She still plays with it everyday! She figured out quick that they are magnets and stick together so she pulls them apart and puts them together again and again and again! The gingerbread man is VERY easy for a child to push to get the lights and music going! She has her own dance just for the song!

 "Happy Cookies!" 2008-04-28
By Green 33 (kansas)
We gave it to her for christmas when she was only 7 months. At that time she loved to listen to the music and watch the gingerbread man light up. The last few months she has started to really try and play with it. She loves to take the magnetic "cookies" and put them together and pull them apart. She will sit for 10 minutes or more entertaining herself by doing that. I was a little dissapointed that once the cookies are in place, you can't push them to get the music to play again. You have to take them out and put them back in. Regardless of that, my 11 months old still loves the toy and gets excited every time the gingerbread man started to talk or sing.
