The Swing 'n Glider is a glider for newborns that easily converts to a traditional swing for older babies, giving parents the ability to soothe baby at the youngest age with a gentle motion AND the ability to soothe and entertain baby with a swing. Or, moms can just play around with different motions and find the right one when baby is fussy.
Swing features six speeds that can be used in either the Glider or Swing mode. A two-position recline and three-point restraint keeps baby secure, and a small tray keeps food or toys close at hand. Soft infant seat insert is removable and machine washable. There are two music modes with 16 songs total: eight etheral, spa-like songs and eight more traditional lullabies. A swing-away mobile with three plush toys hangs overhead to delight and entertain.
Swing includes a plug with a quick-release safety feature for continuous swinging without batteries, but is also operable by 4 "D" batteries, not included. Measures 32"L x 30"W x 45"H.

This swing is so cool. I like the gliding option, which was more suitable for my tiny baby. He loves it and never gets bored of it. It does a wonderful job putting him to sleep. I also like the plug-in system, you don't have to worry about batteries or their cost. The music is quite soothing as well. Sometimes I put my baby to bed and he won't sleep, so I just play the music for him, and he immediately stops crying! Couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase (especially that I a only paid $60 and got free shipping at babies r us!)

After about 2 weeks of use, this swing got weaker and weaker until it wouldn't swing at all, even with brand new batteries. What a waste! It's cute, but worthless. I was upset that I'd spent over $100 on something that stopped working almost immediately.

I bought this swing when I was about 7 months pregnant with my daughter. Since it was a floor model at Babies R Us, I got it for only $50. This swing is wonderful! When she was first born, I couldn't use it because it would swing too fast, but as she got older she absolutely loved it. The only 2 ways she would fall asleep would be the swing or her boppy. She is now 1 year old, and since she is heavier, it barely swings. But it's okay because she still loves it, she swings herself and loves to sleep in it still. I am now almost 20 weeks pregnant with a little boy and am going to let him use this swing, too. I would recommend this item to any parent!

Loved this product until the motor started to die... now it won't swing/glide! FP will only offer a 50 voucher to purchase other products made by them. Really disappointed.

This turned out to be a great purchase for my daughter. I got it when she was almost 2 months old and she still likes it now at 19 months (she is 22 lbs). As an infant, she would fall asleep right away in it, in the glider mode. After she stopped taking naps in it, I started putting her in it every morning, in the swing mode, and put on a video while I made breakfast. Now she asks to swing in it to watch her videos and even just to drink her milk.
Pros: Very sturdy (even for a rambunctious toddler), can plug it in (to save on batteries), grows with your child (with the gliding and swinging feature), tray comes in handy for snacks and extra security (until they learn how to pop it off)
Cons: It only swings or glides well when the baby is fully sitting back, the mobile is useless and an after thought (but you don't have to use it).
Otherwise, I love that I am getting some longevity from it, as the other papasan type swings seem to work when they are infants.
