My mother had purchased this for my youngest daughter when she was born. It wasn't up for long since if I would forget to turn it off she would kick it in the middle of the night and it would start ooohing and aaahing and wake her up. Oh well. It's sitting in a bag with all the rest of her baby stuff. I like the old kind of busy boxes they used to have (or perhaps they still make them).

I bought it for my new grandson after checking on several crib toys. My son and his wife say it looks what they wanted. I read other reviews before I bought it.

Our baby has had this one from birth and is now over a year old. She still loves starting it up and watching it. Meanwhile, most of her other toys have a much shorter "interest life." I think this is discontinued, which is a shame because it only needs a little tweaking.
- There needs to be a way to stop it. Right now, once it's started, if you turn it off and then back on, it immediately turns on. You have to wait until it's done before it goes into that "on but waiting for the baby to start it" mode.
- If you turn it off, the baby can't start it up.
- It would have been nice to have a quieter setting. Seems like all Fisher Price toys and other leading toys have two settings. Loud and very loud.
Comparing this to the FP crib aquarium... it's been more used, but our baby is starting to show a little more interest in the aquarium now.
I love how so many of these things listed on Amazon DON'T show what kind of batteries they need. Hello, sometimes it'd be useful to order extra batteries at the same time as the toy!

This toy keeps my son entertained in his crib for about 15 minute stretches-- just long enough for me to take a shower or wake up a little bit before I go pick him up in the morning. He loves the moving smiley face and the music, but he doesn't seem particularly interested in the other parts of the toy(mirror, ladybug, colored shapes).

My daughter (9 mos) loves this play center. When ever she wakes up from her nap or in the night I will hear her playing with it and then fall back to sleep. She really likes the woman's voice even though I think it sounds a little weird! My daughter did not like the ocean wonders aquarium so I bought her this one and she loves it. There are many things for her to play with and it has 3 settings you can put it on. She was able to learn very quickly how to make the music or woman's voice come on by rolling the spinner. Great product!
