"Kept Baby amused for months!" 2008-09-18
By M. Krasteva (Cambridge, MA)
We had this toy since my daughter was 2-3 months old. First we suspended it from the center of her play gym - no other toy was as interesting. The giggles and short tunes that emanate from the toy are uplifting to baby and parents alike. Once my daughter started crawling and ignored the play gym we transfered the toy to her crib. To this day, at 13 months she still tugs on it. The only downsides are that the toy is a little heavy, the ties are short, and the tunes run for just a few seconds. Other than that the toy is very nice.

 "Love this toy" 2007-12-26
By Luz (New Orleans, La)
I purchased the Miracles and Milestones Panda for my 4 month old baby for car rides and she loves it! It really distracts her and calms her down! I only wish the music played for longer so I don't have to continue to pull the string! But it is well worth it!

"Great toy, but a few flaws" 2006-12-12
By musicalsguru (Minneapolis, MN United States)
My 5mo old son loves this toy. The flashing light on the ladybug can really keep him entranced. The music is nice and it alternates between a giggle and then one of 3 songs (Bear Went over the Mountain, Teddy Bear Picnic, and one other). My only complaints are the fact that they have to pull the green toy, which is harder to grip than the spinning ball, and that it is kind of long, so it's hard to hang on the crib, and still be able to pull the toys.

It's a great toy, with just a few flaws, but easily one of my son's favorites:)

Miracles & Milestones - Rhymes Go Round Mirror

Buy Cheap Miracles & Milestones - Rhymes Go Round Mirror

Buy Low Price From Here Now

The Fisher-Price Rhymes-Go-Round Mirror is the only crib mirror that encourages four different stages of a baby's development. Styled as a sweet elephant with a mouse friend, it offers lights, music and a fun motion.

In newborn mode, your baby's motion activates three tracking lights that softly pulse along the bottom of the mirror for visual stimulation and tracking, as well as 24 seconds of music. As your infant grows, parents can switch the mirror to baby mode to help develop coordination and motor control. As your baby begins to reach for the green pull-down handle, he is rewarded with a short little diddy, lights and the mouse "running" around the mirror.

Outside of the crib, parents can place the mirror upright on the floor for tummy play. The elephant's feet hold the mirror upright and reveal a black and white developmental pattern. Your little one can build neck and torso muscles while gazing in the mirror or at the intriguing patterns, and can activate the tracking lights with the touch of a hand. Lastly, once your baby can sit unassisted, the mirror can be placed down flat in front of your baby, and when he pulls on the green handle, he is rewarded with lights, music and mouse movement. A must-have developmental toy from Fisher-Price.

 "Great for 9 months & up" 2008-05-14
By Luna Moth Wilkins (Great Dismal Swamp, Virginia)
We lost this toy in a tornado and here I am to buy a replacement! We got this as a gift and I didn't think much of it, but put it in the crib anyway. Well, once my baby figured out how to pull the handle herself at about age 9 or 10 months, she LOVED it. Keeps her in the crib for a few quiet minutes after naptime. Now at age 15 months, she pulls the lever to make me sing the songs to her. Love it!

"One of my son's favorite toys!" 2007-06-07
By Word Sorceress (Seattle, WA USA)
As previous parents mentioned, this toy was not a big hit during tummy time; my son ignored it when he was really small. I then attached it to his crib figuring at least it looked cute. Then, once he got to be about 5 months old and strong enough to pull the cord, he loved it! He still plays with it all the time and he's a year old now. He loves it when my husband and I try to sing along with the songs.

I bought this to encourage more tummy time but my 4 month old doesn't care much for it. It doesn't stand up well and the handle to start the mouse moving is very hard to pull for a baby.

"My little miracle wasn't that impressed with it." 2008-11-26
By Contrary2 (Metairie, LA USA)
My mother had purchased this for my youngest daughter when she was born. It wasn't up for long since if I would forget to turn it off she would kick it in the middle of the night and it would start ooohing and aaahing and wake her up. Oh well. It's sitting in a bag with all the rest of her baby stuff. I like the old kind of busy boxes they used to have (or perhaps they still make them).

"More often used than most" 2007-07-26
By lonechicken (Northern, VA)
Our baby has had this one from birth and is now over a year old. She still loves starting it up and watching it. Meanwhile, most of her other toys have a much shorter "interest life." I think this is discontinued, which is a shame because it only needs a little tweaking.

- There needs to be a way to stop it. Right now, once it's started, if you turn it off and then back on, it immediately turns on. You have to wait until it's done before it goes into that "on but waiting for the baby to start it" mode.

- If you turn it off, the baby can't start it up.

- It would have been nice to have a quieter setting. Seems like all Fisher Price toys and other leading toys have two settings. Loud and very loud.

Comparing this to the FP crib aquarium... it's been more used, but our baby is starting to show a little more interest in the aquarium now.

I love how so many of these things listed on Amazon DON'T show what kind of batteries they need. Hello, sometimes it'd be useful to order extra batteries at the same time as the toy!

"My baby really likes this toy" 2007-06-01
By Katherine Howe (Indianapolis, IN)
This toy keeps my son entertained in his crib for about 15 minute stretches-- just long enough for me to take a shower or wake up a little bit before I go pick him up in the morning. He loves the moving smiley face and the music, but he doesn't seem particularly interested in the other parts of the toy(mirror, ladybug, colored shapes).

 "Play Center" 2007-05-30
By Megan (Texas)
My daughter (9 mos) loves this play center. When ever she wakes up from her nap or in the night I will hear her playing with it and then fall back to sleep. She really likes the woman's voice even though I think it sounds a little weird! My daughter did not like the ocean wonders aquarium so I bought her this one and she loves it. There are many things for her to play with and it has 3 settings you can put it on. She was able to learn very quickly how to make the music or woman's voice come on by rolling the spinner. Great product!

 "Best table entertainment!" 2008-04-10
By Linda C. Harmon (Sunnyvale, CA)
I bought this Table Top Playmat for my grandson who is almost ten months old. He loves this as his favorite restaurant entertainment. There is plenty for him to do on each side of the playmat. We put cereal in the top right cup for him and he stays entertained playing with the various gadgets for long periods of time. My only concern is that it doesn't stay stuck so well on tables with any rough surface and he has learned he can pull on the top portion of the plastic insert in the middle because it does not lay flat enough. But, great investment and a really fun playmat!

I bought this toy with the hope it might keep my daughter busy for part of a meal when we go out to eat. Oh my gosh! This toy keeps her busy the entire time! She has had to share the toy with my friend's baby for 4 months now b/c we couldn't find another one anywhere. Each baby would have a side and they would go crazy. We finally found another one for my friend. This toy is hardly available and it is easily in my top 5 must haves! My other friend's would agree. You MUST get this.

 "Safe and fun" 2009-06-26
By DM (Pennsylvania)
This toy is a godsend. I used it for both my kids when they were babies and both of them just absolutely loved it! All three legs allow you to adjust the height of the toys, so the toy being out of reach is not a problem. Or else, I used two or three plastic rings (you can buy them at Target or Walmart in packs of 20) to hang the toy lower. I also changed the toys often and substituted them with any other (even soft) toys that had a loop for a ring. And we loved the music! It's very pleasant, not too loud, but not too low either. First comes a cute and catchy little song, then classical music extracts play, each one accompanied by a little giggle or some other phrase/sound before the start.

Hello sunshine, hello day, hello baby, time to play

Tiny toes, grins and giggles, tummy tickles, great big wiggles.

Reaching out to touch the bee, smiling faces you will see,

Butterflies and birds above, baby, it is you I love.

All the while 3 lights light up in turn, petals spin and go up and down. Big mirror in the middle, everything is so colorful and so much fun.

Although the middle part is somewhat heavy, the legs are very sturdy and lock securely, and I never had the fear of the mirror falling on top of my baby. The batteries last pretty long. I think, in the course of over a year combined I only had to change them once.

The only little drawback that I find with this toy is that the paper faces of the toys come off after a few washes. But again, considering that you can hang your own toys, I didn't find it a big problem. Also, these toys can be used separately (obviously), I used to hang them from the car seat handle for my baby to play with when the car seat was in the shopping cart.

I would highly recommend this toy. I am so glad we had it.

 "Overpriced here on amazon" 2009-02-19
By Dad of 3 (Newport News, Virginia)
I do agree with the other reviewer that said the "middle mirror is too heavy" the base does attatch to the mat but i wouldn't trust that too much, it could easily get knocked over if you accidentally bump into it.. dangerous if your baby is underneath. The toys ARE a bit hard to reach unless my son is laying half off the mat so he can reach them.

My 4 month old seems to like this gym & it entertains him for about 10-20 mins. at a time.. that's something at least. I think that the company needs to make the legs/mat more sturdy.

"Not safe in my opinion" 2009-02-08
By Kaylan
I bought this toy two years ago and I was not happy with the weight of the middle piece that lays above your baby's head. It is basically supported by the balance of three legs and the legs are attached to the cloth mat (not very securely either). I kept worrying the huge, heavy mirrored piece would fall on the baby. I ended up taking it apart and just using the mat and basically the rest was trash.

 "Wonderful toy" 2009-01-27
By Mary T. Cook (atlanta, ga)
My 9 week granddaughter has been fascinated by this toy since 3 weeks when we set it up. She'll watch the leaves go up and down for 20 to 30 minutes which is wonderful for her Mom. We have hung some bigger toys, than what came with it, near the bottom holes and she is hitting those with her hands. I think she'll be able to have fun with this for a long time and use it in many ways. I highly recommend it.

"The greatest infant toy that is not available anymore." 2008-11-16
By R. Podkovik (usa)
This is the greatest toy for infants. My baby would play for a long stretch of time trying to reach and grab the suspended toys. The music is great and the rotating petals and mirror keep infants interested for a very long time. Later you can attach more toys for tummy time and a beginning of crawling stage. It is portable enough and we have taken it with us on vacation as well. It is a shame the company does not produce this toy anymore.

 "Mixed Feelings" 2010-02-05
By C. Kumer
The initial experience with this mobile was very upsetting, due to the way it attaches to the crib it has completely scratched up the wood of the crib. I was extremely upset, even though the crib was already damaged we rigged up some rubber covers for the 'dial' portion that screws onto the back and then put weatherstripping on the back of the mobile which hits the front of the crib. I really don't like the way this attaches at all, its based on the compression of the back 'dial' as you screw it onto the back of the mobile, you have to be very careful that you don't hit the mobile as ours has tipped over and fallen into the crib. I prefer the previous one we had that attached with two plastic straps. While our baby does really enjoy the contrasting colors and the projection onto the ceiling, we do have trouble with the mobile and projection not always moving. We've had this for less than a month and it already stops moving, I even tried new batteries and it hasn't helped. Overall, I'm a little disappointed but it wasn't worth trying to return it and when its working (and not falling on her), she does enjoy it. I really wish it hadn't scratched up the crib. :(

 "The best mobile!!!!" 2009-09-16
By P. ALMQUIST (Lynn, MA USA)
I am reading these reviews and I am amazed! I bought this for my son who is now 16 months old. I thought the lights were great. Once he could look at it he loved it. It is great, I don't think the mobile is flimsy at all my son stands up and tugs on it pulls the toys off and plays with them in the morning. He loves the lights and music he turns them on all the time, even when he is just in his room playing for music to listen too! I think this is the best mobile for any baby! I didn't even know that there was a adjustment you could do to make it just the sound and lights. I am so excited to go home and see if he would like it like that. I don't think the systym is too loud. Ours has worked perfectly since day 1!! Love this so much! I plan on getting the princess version for our daughter coming next week!!

"Not a good mobile, but okay for a toddler" 2009-02-05
By Rodney Henk
We have had this product for 3 years and my son loves it. I want to warn everyone that as a mobile this thing is a piece of junk. It is designed to grow with your child and at the toddler stage it is a good product but as a mobile for a crib it is too flimsy, poorly designed and a bit scary. The scary part is that it seems like it can break off if tugged on hard enough. If you follow the recommended stages you should never have to worry about that but it seems like the arm that holds up the spinning parts can easily break off. As a matter of fact that arm has a contact point that does not meet very well which causes the light and spinning action not to work. I had actually taped it down to get it to work right but it seemed to need an adjustment frequently. Also the spinning mechanism makes alot of noise. Not the type of noise to lull a baby to sleep. Also there are stickers for the faces of the panda which my son somehow was actually able to gnaw off after he started standing in his crib. My son is currently going on age three and we still have this on his bed and loves to hit the buttons for his night time music. The light at this stage still makes too much noise for my taste but if you put the music on the highest setting that helps a bit. My son gets upset when the batteries are low and the music box does not work which is to be expected but whenever he wakes up in the middle of the night he pushes a button for music and happily drifts back into slumberland. I really only can say I like this product for it's use with a toddler. If you want a cool mobile try anything but this one.

 "good value" 2009-01-25
By Victoria (North Carolina)
My daughter likes this mobile a lot. I had looked at some Tiny Love products (which are more elaborate and seem like they'd have more stimulating movement), but didn't want a mobile to take over the crib or (reading from other reviews) potentially fall on the baby, and we weren't sure if a more elaborate mobile would strike the balance between soothing (to calm the baby down a little so she can think about sleep) and stimulating.

Ideally, it would be nice if there were a way to activate the mobile from another room, but that would increase the price, and the price was one of the nice features of this mobile. Our daughter likes it a lot, and the colors and birds are universal enough to look good in many nurseries. And I think the stars projected on the ceiling are really fun, even though I can't tell how much my daughter pays attention to this. We really like that it attaches to the slats, not on the top rail of the crib. (Pay attention to this if your crib has sloping lines and thick rails like ours does; turns out we wouldn't have been able to do any other type of mobile with our crib.)

My daughter continues to like this mobile after a few months (she's now almost six months). Only downside is there is a little mechanical buzz now, altho' that may be just when the batteries wear down. (Overall, I haven't felt the batteries wear down that fast.)

I'm glad I got this for my daughter.
