 "Great toy" 2010-02-04
By Kathryn M. Gafford (Boulder Creek, CA)
I bought this as a gift for my one year old. He loves to stack them and knock them down. He likes the different noises. I wish there would have been more than 6 blocks in the set!

 "fun blocks!" 2009-08-24
By J. Martin (Wisconsin)
So far my 6 month old loves these blocks!! She's very interested in them and can even gnaw on them! These seem to stack decently for me, no, they're not the perfect stacker blocks but as they do perform multiple functions with the sounds as well, I still consider them a pretty good toy any way! Fun toy! Kinda expensive for what you get but nonetheless, good toy overall!

"Awesome toy for testing infant hearing!" 2009-04-29
By HSVPittard
I bought this product because I work with infants and toddlers and assess them developmentally. These blocks have been great toys to check my clients hearing by using the various sounds. I would highly suggest using these toys for this purpose. As well, when they first arrived, I could barely get them away from my daughter who enjoyed playing with them, too!

"The whole set is fun" 2008-12-05
By apoem (Bosque Farms, NM USA)
My children really enjoyed these blocks. My oldest son who was really too old to play with these blocks enjoyed playing with them when we bought them for the baby. The whole set is fun.

This set, the sound sensation blocks. are probably the last I'd buy of any of these types of blocks because as other reviewers mention they do not make a lot of sounds. However, they encourage small and large motor skills as you and your baby shake the blocks or turn the knobs to try to make the sounds.

I will point out that they do not stack well. You can stack them three and maybe four high but they are really not like the unit blocks. If you stack them they tend to be wobbly and fall. The blocks are small so it isn't a problem or a fear of them falling on the babies heads, but simply do not expect to be building big castles with them.

This whole set encourages exploration of the world around the baby with the bright colors, neat little items in each block and fun activities each block encourages.

I would buy them again.

Enjoy.

"Not much Noise- Kinda Boring " 2007-05-18
By T. Regensburger (Orlando)
I purchased these because my daughter loves to make noise ~ She loves banging things together and making differnt noises. The sounds are so faint that you can hardly hear them .. not to mention they are hard for a 9 month old to "understand"

 "LOVE them" 2007-12-29
By Tracy Becker (Fort Meade, MD)
My daughter and I both love these. I think its cute that they have food in them. Who cares that its all junk food, it is just a toy. She throws them pretty hard and no damage to them. I have stepped on them as well and they are holding up great. All her friends like to play with them.

 "Cute blocks" 2007-09-02

These are cute little blocks, wish they had a little bit more going on inside of them though. My other child had these blocks 3 years ago and they seemed to be better.

I prefer the sensory blocks, as they have much more interaction. The watermelon and cookie have pieces that rattle and the apple turns, but the other three are just blocks to look at. It could be better.

"Another cute set of blocks!!!!" 2005-07-28
By C. Zullo (Was Boston, Ma. Now South Portland, Me.)
Ok, I don't know why someone would complain about these blocks not being healthy. Big deal, 2 of the blocks are a cookie and cake. Don't we all eat these foods sometime in our life anyway? My 2 year old loves cookes!!! These blocks aren't meant to teach baby "healthy" foods, they are to teach them the name of the foods. I highly recommend this cute set of blocks for any baby!!!

"Not healthy in the long run" 2005-07-19
By Maria Montalvo (Baltimore, MD USA)
Love 4 out of 6 blocks. Need to teach healthy habits by showing healthy choices of food- what happened to the veggies? Why would you put cake and cookies as food for infants... this is going to teach little ones to consider these items in the same category as fruits - this is very unhealthy for the child's mind. I wish they would get it right. Healthy ideas, healthy toys, healthy kids.... no junk food allowed. So you would have to throw out two blocks - then it is a bit expensive for only 4 blocks.
