 "Poor for the kindle" 2010-05-24
By A. Patel (New York, NY)
I ordered this book for my Kindle. I guess the Kindle does not support non-English script and hence all the pages of the book are pdf'd images. Unfortunately, the print is really tiny and is very difficult to read. The Kindle does not even offer a zoom option. It was a waste of my money to buy this book.

 "Cute" 2009-08-21
By Kathleen R. Monroe (San Diego, CA)
The handle gets in the way, I really want to remove it. Otherwise it's cute - my baby loves to look at herself in the mirror in the second cup - she tries to get her face all the way in the cup to get closer to the baby!

these cups are very cute, and my daughter loves to play with them. after she spit up some food in one of the cups (the largest one, which has a sticker inside, a small piece peeled off after i tried to wipe it clean. i still let her play with them supervised.

By chicklit junkie (Cincinnati, OH)
We use the biggest cup in the bathtub. My 10-month old likes the rattle on the smallest cup and the bell inside the frog. She's not so much into stacking yet, though, so we're still working on that. :)

 "Very cute and educational." 2009-01-07
By Bernadette E. Knotts (Whitehall, PA)
I bought these for my 7 month old son for Christmas and he seems to really like them. He isn't quite able to play with them the way they are supposed to be, but he is definitely showing interest in them. I think they are a neat idea with the mirror in one, a picture in the bottom of one and the clear bottom one with fish you can shake around. The little frog that sits in them is so cute and has a nice quiet jingle sound when you shake it. The handle on the largest cup is a nice bonus too since they all nest inside one another and can be carried around. I think this is a great toy all around.

 "Hit and miss." 2009-09-18
By Teddy Bird (Deer Creek Mesa, CO)
This item is very very cute as you have come to expect from Fisher-Price. The plastic globe surrounding the animals inside is shiny, smooth, and sturdy. The critters inside have appealing expressions as does the little turtle who forms the knob on top.

My 8-month old has had this toy since he was about 3 months, and while it always catches his eye and attracts him, he does wind up losing interest rather quickly. He seems to understand that he is supposed to push down on the turtle/plunger mechanism, but it is SO hard to do! It's hard even for me. The resistance is much too much. And even with help to activate the spinning carousel inside, the bayb doesn't get to see it spin very freely or very long. It's like the whole mechanism is gummed up with something. There are lots better ways to spend your money, I'm afraid.

I bought this for my 7 month old son for Christmas and it keeps his interest. The little characters on it and in it are absolutely adorable and it is a nice quiet toy for him to play with. He isn't quite able to play with it just yet, but I'm sure in the next month or so he will be loving it.

 "Fun learning toy!" 2009-01-29
By A. White (AROUND)
I bought this toy for my nephew for his 1 year old bithday, even though the age limit on this toy starts at 6 months it is still very beneficial for a 1 year old! He loves it and plays with it every day, and you can't beat the price.

 "cute toy" 2008-12-30
By Tabitha Maxwell (Lebanon, TN)
This is a cute toy and I like that the shapes rattle. They catch the attention of your baby. The only thing is the shell part just sits on the turtle. It does not lock into place or anything, whick makes it impossible for your baby to correctly use the toy.

"Perfect gift for a one to two year old kids." 2008-10-20
By Two kids mom (Tijeras, NM United States)
Bought this for a friend's one year old and a two year old relative. The blocks themselves are entertaining and as they approach two they can start to put them into the shell. The one drawback is that the shell can be too difficult for them to open themselves and then get back onto the turtle for another go around.

 "Poor design, defective parts" 2009-12-14
By Megan (Davis, CA USA)
I received this mobile as a baby shower gift and was very excited to set it up on my baby's crib. This mobile has many parts that screw together. Unfortunately the mobile we received was missing an attachment point (for the straps that hold it to the base). I returned the mobile since it wouldn't be able to hang securely from the crib. My husband and I were both disappointed by the design of the battery pack-it is difficult to snap back, and I felt like I was going to break it-after putting in batteries. In addition, several of the small screws are located in these plastic tunnels, so it is impossible to put the mobile together if you have a 4-n-1 Phillips screwdriver.

 "Motor makes noise" 2009-12-11
By A. Vaidya
I purchased this mobile because I loved the animals on it. It looked great on arrival and was very simple to setup. However, the minute I turned it on, I started hearing the whirring and clicking of the motor that moves the top of the mobile. At night it was even more noticeable and loud.

Packed it up and returned it. Now looking for a mobile again.

 "Grows with baby" 2009-10-17
By A. Gunn (Wetumpka, AL United States)
We got this as a gift last year for our then 3 month old at Christmas. We loved it as a mobile, but when she started sitting up we've been using it with the mobile off just for the music. Now she is one and I've noticed that if I don't turn on the music sometimes she does it herself! The buttons are easy for her to push and very colorful. She even taught me that if you press the same button again the music goes off! That may have been in the directions but I didn't read them. I think we've changed the batteries out twice in the last 10 months so that's not too bad considering the music plays one round almost every night.

 "Fun toy" 2009-11-06
By Jessica Jones (Ohio)
My son, now 7 months old, has enjoyed playing with this toy for a few months now. As someone else mentioned, it is smaller so it's a little easier for babies to grasp than the other one. My son likes playing with the duck, as well as shaking the rings, which all make a slightly different sound. Luckily he hasn't hit himself with one yet, because they are hard and it definitely wouldn't feel good. Overall I think it's a pretty good option in comparison to the traditional one, especially because the rattling rings can be entertaining long before an infant starts learning the stacking part.

"Every baby needs a stacker, and this is a great one!" 2009-09-19
By Teddy Bird (Deer Creek Mesa, CO)
I will admit that I was sorely tempted to buy the original Fisher Price stacker, the one we all had as kids. It's absolutely a classic and I may still obtain one of them.

But I was drawn to this one for my 5-month old because I remember reading somewhere that it is slightly smaller than the classic version with the large plastic hollow donuts. I thought smaller might work better for the little guy. Well. Since this toy has come into the house, not a day has gone by without at least one play session where he selects this toy to play with from among a lot of others.

Now 8 months old, he still loves this one. He tips over the base to let the rings fall free, takes one in each hand, and shakes them like tambourines. He smacks them together and has a grand old time. He is not at all interested in re-stacking them on the base, but that's fine with me because it just means the toy will last a while longer while he grows into that phase.

The topper on this stacker is the red ring with the little chick. This part does not rattle, which is a little bit of a shame. It also wedges kind of tightly onto the top of the base, so baby can't remove it himself, but that's OK.

I am very very pleased with this purchase. I have subsequently looked at some of the other stackers on the market and I am convinced this one is the cream of the crop.

 "OK, but hard" 2009-08-21
By Kathleen R. Monroe (San Diego, CA)
I just wish that for a first stacker the material was a little softer. My babe is in the phase of banging everything, and she hits herself and me with the rings and it hurts us both. I just wish the plastic was a little softer. Otherwise it's cute, the rattles are nice.

 "Baby's new favorite toy" 2009-07-14
By C.P. (USA)
Baby is 8 months old, and I didn't think she would really be that interested in this toy yet. I just wanted her to begin to grasp the "stacking" concept. But she loves to play with the round stackers. They rattle, and she likes to chew on them. It is one of her favorite toys. I put it in her crib in the morning, and it keeps her occupied so I can get an extra 10 to 20 minutes of sleep.

"Fun Toy Without Batteries :)" 2009-04-23
By Joni H.
My 12 month old grandson likes playing with this toy. He especially likes to shake the round discs. Each one has, what sounds like, little beads sealed inside that rattle when he shakes them. The only reason for giving it 4 stars is because the top red disc with the duck head on it doesn't make any noise, and I think it should since he doesn't play with that one when it's alone, but he does play with the other ones that rattle. He also has learned to put the discs on the stacker (not always in the right order), but that will come. It's nice he can play with a toy without dealing with the batteries wearing out.
