Soothes & engages as baby grows! Sometimes your little one likes being held over your shoulder. Sometimes on your knee. Other times, she wants to be cradled in your arms as you rock her side-to-side or back-and-forth. But for the times you need to put baby down, here's a swing that cradles and swings, soothes and entertains her just the way she likes it! It surrounds her in plush, cozy fabrics and a canopy that cocoons her. The soothing continues with eight tunes and a side-to-side cradle motion, a lot like the way you rock her in your arms. When your little lamb is ready for play, the swinging changes to a back-and-forth motion (because babies love variety) and she's engaged with nature sound tracks and a mobile featuring a mirror, floating clouds and little lambs to entertain her

"This swing has been a lifesaver!" 2009-11-25
By Texas Mama (College Station, TX)
We have had this swing for about 5 months and have been very pleased with it overall. As a new baby, our son refused to sleep anywhere else. He seemed to be very comfortable in it compared to his crib. Here are a few pros and cons:

Pros:

-AC adaptor-this was a must have for me, and the main reason I chose it. So convenient!

-Pleasant music-not annoying like many others. A nice variety of songs.

-Light show-As my son has gotten older, he has really started to look at the stars.

-The swing goes in 2 directions-very handy, especially if you need to put it against a wall.

-Very comfy for smaller babies-they seem very cozy and don't get lost in it.

-Baby loves playing with the tray table. I clip toys onto the loops and he loves it.

Cons:

-Since it is not open-top it can be difficult to get the baby in once they are bigger. Sometimes I am afraid I might bump his head.

-The 25 lb weight limit seems incorrect. My 5 month old is tall and chunky at 17 lbs and is already starting to outgrow it. His feet hang off the edges and the straps are a bit tight. He doesn't seem to mind right now, but I'm not sure how much longer he will be able to use it.

-We have always had to give the swing a push to get it going, although it hasn't really been a major issue. It works fine after that.

-The footprint of the swing is big. This takes up quite a bit of space and would not be convenient in smaller rooms. It is fairly cumbersome to move around.

-The tray table does not flip up, it has to be taken off completely every time you take the baby out. Not a big deal, but kind of annoying.

Even with the cons, I would definitely buy this product again. I just wish it was a bit bigger so babies wouldn't outgrow it so quickly!

 "Loud but AWESOME!!!" 2009-11-22
By Kristen A. Messer (Baltimore, MD)
This swing has saved my husband and I so many times. My daughter would only fall asleep in it on those first few sleepless weeks. We would let it lull her off and then put her back in bed. Or if I needed an hour or so of sleep he would watch her in the swing while I grabbed a nap. Now that she is older she loves sitting up in it and playing with the toys on the tray and I can hook her favorite toys to the tray, which makes it so nice. She has always loved the above head mirror part. We have had a few diaper incidents in it and taking off the fabric to wash it is really easy. The songs are sweet and not too obtrusive like some of the other baby products out there.

My Complaint: It is super loud! It creaks horribly sometimes, but my daughter doesn't notice, so no big deal.

"It plugs into the wall, how convenient!" 2009-11-19
By Adrienne (Central New Jersey)
My husband set up this papasan without problems. I love that we don't need batteries for this swing! We plugged it into the wall and tried all the features: swing speeds, songs, light or no light, spinning teddy bears - all were great! In excitement my daughter pulled off the hanging net, and we left it off (she kept reaching for it). I recommend this product for little girls (soft lavender color).

This is a great swing. My newborn is a bit fussy and doesn't like to be put down but she will always sleep in her swing.

When nothing else seems to work to quiet a baby who is uncomfortable, this soothing masterpiece does the job to return the household to normalcy. I would recommend you get this for the comfort of you baby and your own.

"One of the Top Ten Most-Played-With-Toys in Our House" 2009-09-24
By goonius (a room in a house on a street in a city just like any other.)
We've had this piggy bank for about 3 years now. Early on his door broke, and it only takes a coin or two in the slot before it pops open and the counting starts over at one, but I never relied on this toy for teaching numbers, so it's really just a minor annoyance. The kids don't care. They LOVE this toy. The youngest (1.5 years) loves sorting the coins, and carting them around the house in shopping carts and wagons. The eldest (3.5 years) will occasionally sort them, but these days she prefers to play pretend that the coins are cookies and other creative things. They both love to dance around to the music, and will play the songs until I have them stuck in my head for the rest of the evening. Usually I hate these electronic songs that accompany the new wave of "learning" toys, but these are actually catchy and kind of cute.

I'd never imagined when buying this toy that it would have such open-ended functions, but it has truly had enduring entertainment value.

Lately we've been weeding out a lot of our plastic China-manufactured toys, but I think the pig will have to stay. The kids love him, and they've had such fun with him, that he seems to be a permanent member of the family.

"So much fun for my 12 month old" 2009-11-12

He hasn't lost interest yet. and every time he plays with it he discovers something new. It has 3 different "modes" Learning mode, song mode and play mode, all of which are so cute and fun. it comes with eggs and he carries them around the house. I will mention that the screws were hard to put in by hand. My son has beat this thing up and it still perfect.

"Best $ we've spent on toys in a long time" 2009-11-02
By KYP (Lakewood, CO United States)
What I like about this toy:

Lots of mini activities - feeding the cow, "planting the flowers" having the eggs slide through the shoot. All the noises and songs, opening and closing the barn door.

Dislike:

Putting it together. It took about 30 minutes to get all the pieces screwed in and assembled. It probably took that long because my son was eager to get his hands on this awesome looking toy and wanted to play with it while we were putting it together.

Why I'm giving it a 5:

It seems pricey for a FP toy, (we bought it on a buy 2 get 1 free promo and got the farm, home and the rock and bounce pony), so it wasn't too bad. FP toys are very sturdy, with a rough baby and 2 dogs, any toy that makes it through and still look brand new is amazing.

Very interactive. Teaches cause and effect. The sounds of the farm animals and the door creaking when it opens and a "slam" when it shuts cracks my baby up. He loves being able to "crawl" through the door. It did take him a little bit why he couldn't "walk" through, and watching him crouch down and waddle though was a hoot. He eventually gave up and crawled.

Even without the extra pieces (eggs, flowers) it's still a lot of fun. We brought it over to a friends house to entertain the little ones - awesome. They had so much fun just messing around with it.

We haven't had a toy that keeps our kid entertained for a long period of time AND something he wants to go back to.

IF YOU ARE DEBATING on getting this vs the HOME - get the home. It has a few more extras and activities to do. Only bonus about the farm is the radio - it makes "static" noises so it's like you're tuning a radio. The home one has a clock that you can teach time and it's a little bigger opening for the doorway.

 "Hours of Entertainment" 2009-10-13
By WorkingMom (Massachusetts)
My son played with this toy at a friend's house a few months ago and was captivated by the ability to go through the door. We gave it to him yesterday for his first birthday. I was afraid that he would play with it for 30 minutes or so and move on but I was pleasantly surprised. He played with it for hours - and I mean hours - spending most of his time going through the door but also trying out the other features. Since nearly everything a person does with the toy causes it to make noise/music, etc. it keeps him stimulated. My son is a very active and curious little person so all of this toy's bells and whistles are critical to keeping him entertained. I have found it difficult over the past few months having enough toys to keep him entertained without breaking my budget or overwhelming our family room. I see this toy as a money saver since it keeps me from having to buy a bunch of other toys. In the time he spent on this toy yesterday, he would have played with a dozen toys or more any other day. My son wasn't happy when we took him away from the farm so that he could eat dinner and went right back to it afterwards. He's the type of person who will play until he drops from exhaustion so I think he would have played with this toy all night if I hadn't forced him to go to bed. :-)

I think the choking warning is in reference to the screws used to put it together. The screws are really tight, though, so I can't imagine how a child could get them out. I could barely get them in. I think the child would really have to break the other parts of the toy to get pieces small enough to swallow.

"One of the best toys for the car out there" 2009-10-31
By Amy S. Mcfarland (California)
My daughter (10 months old) absolutely loves this book, and car rides have become much more manageable since buying this. The pages are easy for her to turn, there is a volume control (which is a HUGE plus) and it has cute little songs for her to play. Not the most interactive toy out there, but it's not overwhelming to her either.

 "fun for my girl" 2009-09-20

I have been looking for this toy, and am glad to have found it in an ad today. My husband went on an overseas mission trip earlier this year, and brought back a European version of this toy. My daughter loves the music, and frequently dances to it, but it is in a language none of us know. I am looking forward to getting her the English one - wondering how many of the songs are the same...

"Surprising Number of Ways to Play With This Toy" 2009-10-05
By Citizen John (Washington, DC)
My 9 month-old twins play with this toy in all kinds of ways. They're not at the point of stacking the disks/rings yet, but they do a lot of other things. For example, they throw the rings with the aim of trying to get them to roll on their side. Most of the time they don't succeed at that but sometimes they do, and then they might have to crawl to retrieve them. This is great for developing motor skills and it shows that they understand something of the concept of a wheel. They also get exercise.

We also play together with this toy in different ways. For example, I can sit across from a baby and throw a disk in her lap and then she throws it back in my lap and so on. We move onto different colors and sizes. They can do this at 9 months old and it's fun for them. They also trade the rings between each other and I can't say I understand what kind of game that is but they like it.

We clean the rings every night along with all the things we clean (there are so many). But these are easy to clean and this is a very durable toy.

Our 6 month old has been playing with this for about 2 weeks. She loves this toy. She loves playing with the yellow base that the donuts go on, and she loves playing with the donuts themselves. This keeps her attention for 20+ minutes and she loves tossing the donuts around and then playing with the base by tipping it over so she can reach it again after she pushes it out of her reach. It is so fun watching her play with this toy!

"Wonderful toy for kids age 1+" 2009-09-10

We - or actually our son - got this toy as a birth present. As soon as he started to grasp for things I gave him one of the rings to play with. He loved to play with it a lot, sucked at the rings and had a lot of fun. Now, that he is 16 months old, he really enjoys the whole toy. Every single day he gets it out of his toy box and plays with it.

It is a great toy, a wonderful gift and a perfect fit for every toddler.
