 "Disappointed 7 Month Old" 2009-11-18
By Amy Lynn Lorenzen (Grand Forks, ND USA)
I bought this fish bowl for my seven month old son. he has the fisher price mailbox and absolutely loves it. But this toy was a flop with him- He picked it up, picked the fish out, and dumped it over. That was it- Maybe it just wasn't stimulating enough, but it was disappointing.

"My 10 month old LOVES this toy!" 2009-11-08
By C. Hammond (Austin, TX)
I thought this looked cute and that my daughter would enjoy it-- but I didn't realize how much she would love it. She quickly figured out how to take the fish out of the bowl and put them back in. She laughs out loud when the music plays as the fish hit the bottom. She now likes to put lots of toys in the fish bowl to make the music play.

This music is nice b/c it's not too loud, it also has on OFF switch (which ALL toys should!). Great toy for a little one.

"Great learning toy and one of my son's favorite" 2009-10-24
By Carolina Guerra-Torres (Santa Clara, CA, USA)
My son got this toy as a present, and loves it. He realy started to play with it at around 6 months, as soon as he could sit up. He loved the music, the rattle in the fish, chewing on them, banging them against each other, and even enjoyed the noise of the fish in the bowl with the music turned off as they bumped against each other and the bowl walls. Great learning toy: he learned to put the fish in and take them out the bowl just by playing with it, he also learned to grab a fish on each hand (as they are the perfect size for little hands) and to bang them against each other. I sometimes carry the fish in the diaper bag, and they make great on the go toys by themselves. It is a very durable toy too, and after all the use it barely shows.

My daughter loves this toy! It has held up great to being bumped and dropped. The fish that go with the bowl are cute and easy for little hands to control. The music is happy and the lights are fun. I am very pleased with this buy.

"NOT as essential as Fisher Price Sing-a-long" 2009-07-30

Doesn't keep my son's interest for long. I would get another toy with a better track record. Sing a long is great and simple stuff like baby legos.

"12 months of use and still going strong!" 2009-11-27
By Gennifer (Georgia)
We have had this crib soother for about 12 months now. When my daughter was around 5 months old, she figured out how to kick the parrot to get it turned on and it made her ever-so-happy. We never had any issues with the animals squeaking and we use a night light in her room so we do not have any issues with the lights being too bright. My daughter is 15 months old now and has found the switches on the side that control the lights and motion. Apparently she prefers just the music because every time I turn one of the others on, she switches it back to music only.

While I agree that it is a very daunting task to get the straps off, I would be more worried if they weren't difficult. Babies get smart and get rough with their toys... which poses a safety risk! I think the straps are so tight for safety reasons and therefore I am able to tolerate it. We only ran through batteries when we had this on full swing all of the time. Now that she prefers just music or music and lights (occasionally) we have changed the batteries maybe twice in the last 6 months. She will turn the music on when she's just playing in her room, too. So, this gets used at more than just bedtime and naptime. I think this will last until we get into a toddler bed and through the next little one!

We have another crib toy that I purchased a few months ago as a backup for when the soother needs the batteries changed or just to give her something different and it runs through batteries A LOT faster than this. The straps are almost as difficult on that one as the Rainforest soother but I have noticed my daughter has managed to get it somewhat loose from time to time. Overall, VERY happy with this purchase and I wish I had gotten it for her from the start.

 "A Real Comfort" 2009-11-12
By E. Levin
Our baby has used this since her second or third week of life. She's now 6 months old and beginning to interact with it. We play the nature sounds and lullabies when she goes down for her naps and for bed, and if she's slightly fussy we play it with the light function. It usually calms her down. It also functions for a really long time on battery power. We've only changed the batteries once, and we use it at least 4 times a day. My only problem with it is the method it uses to attach to the crib. The holes on the straps that are supposed to loop over the pegs are really small. Once you've put it on the crib, you will probably want to leave it there until your baby is in a bed.

"Great until water started to look rusty" 2009-11-09
By Violet's Mom (New Orleans, LA)
This was a great product and my baby who is now a toddler loved it. In fact, she still loves it but we recently noticed the water turning into a rust color. It lasted for two years though. Unfortunately, we decided to toss it since the water looked bad.

"Our 5 month old twins love these" 2009-11-03
By Mandy H (Virginia, United States)
These are great soothers for our twin boys. It can captivate them for 10+ minutes and often times we turn just the music on before we lay them down in their cribs to sleep which helps lull them (otherwise they may stare at the visuals too long and not go to sleep). But for keeping them awake and entertained these are great. My biggest complaint about them though is how they attach to the crib. Those straps are soooo annoying!! I hate them which is why I only gave this product 4 stars, and debated giving it only 3. I wanted to use one of these soothers sometimes on the crib, but also sometimes in the living room since we spend so much time with the boys in there. Well given what a HUGE pain they are to attach/detach from the crib that doesn't happen. Plus, the bottom of the soother is not flat, which is another stupid thing. I wanted to just set it up on the coffee table for instance when in the living room, but that doesn't work because its not flat on the bottom. Those two issues (the straps and the rounded bottom) are very frustrating. But for just using this soother on the crib, its great. I dread when it needs batteries though given what a hassle it is to remove from the crib rail!

 "Our nieces favorite toy" 2009-10-20
By Steve D (West Chester, PA)
This toy was an instant hit with our baby niece. She's always looking around at the different moving animals and the different soothing lights. The music keeps her attention and she loves to point and play with this toy. It is pretty heavy though so be sure to keep an eye out on how you're mounting this rainforest!

"if only my baby liked baths" 2009-11-23
By Shannon B Davis (Arlington, MA United States)
This product is handy because it makes it very easy to wash a newborn. The hammock places them in the water without submerging them. I really like the attachable toys - we use them to wash his hair, scooping up water and pouring it over. It keeps the bathwater contained, just in case there are any accidents, you won't have to wash the whole bathtub, just this product. The hammock is removable, and so can be washed as well. The hammock has a nice pillow on it where the baby can rest his head.

It's also a very cute product, and I don't mind having it in the bathroom. We keep ours in the tub in our guest bathroom, where no one else bathes.

That said, my child, now three months old, hates baths. He starts to scream like a tortured POW when we put him in this tub. I don't know why that is. We did notice that without the hammock stretched taut, but in the position they recommend for infants over 10 lbs, there is a bump. He sits with his legs around the bump - I wonder if it is putting pressure against his sensitive bits down there. I think he would enjoy it more if he could lie down instead, but the bump seems to prevent that. Other reviewers mention it and I see the problem now. I think I will give this 4 stars because if the bump had been designed to be removable or configurable, it would have solved this problem for me and other users.

I don't know if the bath-hating would be a problem with all bath centers. He isn't immensely thrilled with going into the big bath with mom, or into the shower with me. No matter what I do, my kid is hydrophobic. So I am not holding that agains the Fisher Price Bath Center. It looked like it would be a fun place to bathe to ME.

"Great for newborns but as they outgrow the sling, not so great" 2009-10-20
By S. Powell (TX)
This bathtub advertises that it can fit all stages- newborn, then 3-6 months, and finally babies that can sit on their own. It also comes with some bath toys and is attractive.

The sling, I found, to be very easy to wash my newborn in. Granted, like other reviewers, I noticed that it doesn't let baby be immersed much in the water but as a first time mom, I felt more comfortable this way because I was paranoid. The baby really liked the sling.

The problem is after the newborn stage. As baby gets older and weighs more, he presses down on the sling and there is a ridge that everyone on here talks about mid-way in the tub. While my baby never fussed about it, it would leave a red mark on his back. It says at 3 months that you can take the sling down and put baby sitting up against the head cushion in the shallower end of the tub. Then after that, when baby can sit unassisted, that you can put him in the deeper end. I find it to be very awkward as my baby keeps slipping down and it looks very uncomfortable. I think once my baby can sit unassisted that it may be easier, but for now, I might as well be using the sink. I still use this tub because it's what I have but I wouldn't buy it again if given the choice.

"Good for newborn and toddler" 2009-10-08
By Chanel J. Suarez (San Diego)
This bath was great when my son was a newborn with the hammock attachment so that he is mostly out of the water and a comfortable place to put his head. I usually put a warm washcloth over his belly and periodically poured warm water over it to keep him warm. Once my son got over the 10 pound mark I took down the other side of the hammock so his body was halfway immersed in the water. The 'bump stop' does as it should and he doesn't slide into the water but it leaves a deep red mark because of his weight. I am sure once he is able to sit up this bathtub will be great but it's very upsetting to see the mark on his back and I know it has got to be uncomfortable because of how much he squirms.

"Best without sling for slightly older baby" 2009-10-04
By Jared M. Collier
My baby liked this alot at first but, as others noted, he quickly was too big for this product. We ended up removing the sling very early and just using the tub. It worked great for when he could sit with just a little assistance. As he got bigger he sat in the deeper end just fine, but we soon just started bathing him in the tub by the time he was 7 months because the tub is easy to squirm out of for very mobile kids!

 "Very awkward tub" 2009-10-01
By Lisa
When using a sling, your baby is out of the water. It's good before the navel hills, but the baby stays cold. Without a sling, the tub is very shallow and the baby can't be in the water because of the ridge. The water also splashes outside since it's so narrow. I prefer to use sink instead. It doesn't have any weird ridges in the middle.

"Love the baby grand piano." 2009-10-17
By Jessica Jones (Ohio)
This piano is great. As others have mentioned, there are multiple different modes for your child to play in. One is music mode, in which the piano plays different songs when the keys are pressed, and as the song plays the keys light up in the order they should be played. I'm pretty sure it'll be a long time until my son (only 6 months old right now) will appreciate this feature, but I think it's pretty neat that it actually teaches the song. The songs are also written out on the pages that the child can turn, which is nice too. The second mode is learning mode, in which the child can press the keys to hear the number on the key (1-8), the color of the key, and a woman singing. You have to turn the pages in order to switch between these three options in the learning mode, which took me a minute to figure out since I bought it used and didn't have directions or anything. The third mode simply allows the baby to press the keys and play. I agree with others, the sound the keys make when they are pressed is much nicer than others I have heard, especially the one I had as a child. However, I find the woman's singing voice pretty annoying, so I rarely set it to singing mode. Of course my child doesn't mind it, so I shouldn't complain too much. Overall, it's a great product, and my son loves to sit and press the buttons. I have a feeling that he will enjoy it even more when he is able to appreciate the other features it has to offer, as well as walk around it and play with the little toys on the back. Highly recommend it!

"Would've loved the toy...if it hadn't been broken the 2 times I ordered it!" 2009-10-08
By Eb's Mama (Bradford, MA United States)
I ordered this toy twice from Target and both times it didn't work properly. I'm not sure if this toy if other people have had this problem or not. I wouldn't reccommend buying it from Target. They have awful customer service and were very unfriendly when dealing with the returns. Maybe I'll try buying it from somewhere else and see if I can get one that works.

 "Satisfied mom" 2009-06-28
By Deborah L. Davitt (Houston, TX)
We got this for our son when he was 6 months old--a little younger than it recommends, but he's enjoyed it every day since it arrived in the mail. At first, we either sat behind him, or propped him up so he could sit at it on his own. It was the very first item he pulled himself up on (note that it's not a heavy item, and wobbly babies *can* pull it over on themselves). I compensated for this by simply propping my feet on it, until he was better able to pull up on his own.

The three play modes--music, individual notes/free play, and learning--provide him with a great deal of variety, so we can "reset" his interest in the piano as we go along. He's gone through a number of phases in terms of how he plays with the piano, from wildly flailing at the keys to carefully walking around it to press and turn the buttons at the back. Since it has kept his attention very well from 6 months to 11 months, I fully anticipate it continuing to do so as he grows.

 "Highly recommended" 2009-06-21

Very good interactive toy, my son loves it. It will make your son to play with songs; however, this is not an actual piano. If you want a musical toy, this is great (I would also recommend the Mozart Musical cube, also here in Amazon). However, if you are looking for a piano with a real piano keyboard to introduce your baby to this instrument, there are probably better options depending on the age.

 "Love it!" 2009-09-13
By netshopper (Woodside, NY United States)
We bought two of these for my parents' house to replace two old older kid swings on an old set. We picked these b/c they can be used for babies as young as 6 months. My daughter is 10.5 mon. and my sister's baby is almost 6, so now they can swing together when we are visiting. The swings are very well made and look great. They assembled easily by using the old hooks from the old swings and support our daughter well. We probably won't feed her when we're using it, but the tray is a nice addition. The reclined back is also good and can be adjusted to be more reclined or more upright. Great price and product, thanks!

"One of those must have play items for every baby" 2009-08-31
By Sara Fara (Washington State)
We have a deck above our porch that we hung the swing from, but it is pretty high up, so we had to modify. Instead of directly hooking the swing into two eyelet screws, we bought two pieces of chain and hooked the ends of the chain into the eyelet screws, then hooked the swing onto the other ends of the chain, its perfect! Our baby girl loves it and she is six and a half months old! The swing itself is very safe and secure, there is no way she could fall out of it after being strapped in AND with the tray clicked into place. The tray is nice too, since we just place a few toys on it, give her a push and she is happy as a lamb! We are able to all sit out back and enjoy the weather together for about 30 minutes before she is ready for a new activity. I have even caught up on some reading! Another note about safety, the swing is made with one continuous piece of rope (the same method riggers use on parachutes). We feel confident that our baby is safe in this. FYI, this can be hooked onto a tree, onto eyelet screws, or hooked onto an existing swing set, directions are included and VERY simple.
