I bought this lamp online after seeing it in BabiesRUs & knowing that it was small and a little cheap looking. However, it is very cute and of course goes great with the rainforest theme I have in my new daughter's room. The main thing I don't like about it is that there's too much green. I'm planning to paint the base red (or yellow) which I think will make all the difference. The shade is plastic and you have to get one of the small/compact fluorescent bulbs in order to not see it poking out of the top.
I wanted mostly to write this review to praise Amazon! The first lamp I received was damaged during shipment. I contacted Amazon, a new one was sent out immediately, and they provided a return shipping label. This is a wonderful example of EXCELLENT customer service! I also have an Amazon Kindle 2 (which I looooove) and yesterday the screen on it just went black. Again, I called Amazon and they are sending me a new one which I'll have tomorrow, and paying for the shipment of the return. I've had so many wonderful experiences shopping through Amazon, I just thought it was worth mentioning...way to go, you have a dedicated customer!

I bought this lamp because it matches my daughters room with Rainforest stuff. I love this lamp, it is small and not bulky. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the only thing I dont like is that if you use engery saving light bulbs, you can see them peek out at the top of the lamp. The shade of the lamp doesnt cover the light bulb.

I ordered this product for our little girl's room, since we have the entire Fisher Price rainforest collection. I was very disappointed upon receiving this item, however, because it looked so cheap! The lampshade is mere plastic with the characters painted on (poorly) and the lamp itself is just green painted wood. I've found much better looking lamps at the stores for much less! I paid almost [...] for this lamp and it isn't worth more than [...] at the most! Save your money and find something else!
